SNOW

We have had a lot of snow this year. January, February into March. The good thing about that is that we have not had a lot of ice to go with it. In that regard, we have been very lucky.

Snow is beautiful to wake up to in the morning all fluffy, white, and crisp. But then the sun should come out and melt it all away. But this year we have gotten large amounts (for us) all at once and that melting part has taken days.

Winter has the benefit of giving way to Spring. And with the end of the cold comes the beauty of the spring. One does not happen without the other. The snow gives beautiful pictures, even of ordinary things. And there is no quiet like a world covered in snow. That is the only way that I make it through the nasty days of winter. Those that are cold, wet, windy, overcast and just plain awful.
